  Puamana was the PERFECT location for our family of 4! And our unit (15-2) was GREAT! Everything was spotless for our arrival. Our kids appreciated their own seperate beds, and the one we had in the master suite was SOOO COMFORTABLE! We appreciated having the newer tile flooring not only in the bathrooms and the 1st floor, but also the lanai! We liked being able to hose off our salty things at night. Having washer/dryer on the 2nd floor was great (and thanks for supplying us with enough soap ... a nice convenience thing!). From preparing meals to relaxing outside, from nice hot showers to quickly cooled-off rooms at night, everything went off without a hitch! We whole-heartedly would recommend Puamana (and specifically this unit) to anyone going to Maui.

  This was about our 6th time at Puamana so we knew we weren't expecting 5 star accomodations at a resort. However, we weren't paying that price either. The unit we were staying in had been updated (or remodeled) but not fully renovated. It was very clean and we were pleasantly surprised by the second floor deck. A couple of things to note -- the DVD player wasn't working and I'm not sure that the second bedroom A/C was working. The weather wasn't too hot so that didn't really matter. As well, since the unit was fairly close to the highway, the traffic noise was rather loud in the master bedroom but we could drown it out by keeping the A/C fan on. The lanai was nice but as the weather was fairly cool at night, we only took advantage of it a couple of nights. We always try to get a unit close to the clubhouse and tennis courts and the unit's location was good in this respect. I would stay here again but if it were any hotter, I would make sure that the second bedroom's A/C was in fact working.

  Unit was just OK, wish owner took better care of it. Was a lot of money for a middle of the road unit, even though in a nice development. Was not clean when arrived (dirty toilet, fridge dirty, dead bugs all over the place) and towels were very frayed. They should have a cleaning person come spiff up the unit right before guest arrival and spend $100 to match/replace towels. Also, guest bathroom shower leaked at shower head so sprayed everywhere - ended up we could not even use it. Location is on a canal, which apparently is breeding area for misquitos so could not use Lanai either. We ended up extending our stay and moving to another property and had no problems with bugs. Pretty disappointing, especially since around $300 per night

  I take these issues very seriously. I was never contacted during the stay nor was my on site property manager notified of any problems. I have looked in to all of these concerns. We have hired a new cleaning company and have purchased all new linens and towels. I have personally stayed in this unit and have found it to be very comfortable.
