I have stayed at Puamana many, many times. The place is magical, I love it. This unit was great, everything we needed, close to the Ocean Pool, and Clubhouse. The disposal did not work, but that was not a big deal. Loved the quiet AC, so nice. I did think the cleaning could have been a little better, dusty shelves in the kitchen, mirrors streaky, showers not super clean.

We just stayed two weeks in this great residence. It's in a great location in the development, close to the waves, pool and clubhouse. It was clean and exactly as advertised. We'll definitely stay here again. Only one item of note: the bed is a bit soft so if you prefer a firm bed this may not be for you. Otherwise, it's perfect!

We have rented this unit before and love it for its location. Close to the clubhouse, ocean pool and the ocean.

The disappointing thing on this trip was the temporary air conditioning unit that was not very good at cooling. The installation with duct tape was unsightly and the unit took up a lot of space in the living room.

Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Call Maui SUP and have them deliver boards to the unit. Walk down to Boss Frogs and rent cruiser bikes. Then every night the entire resort hangs out at the clubhouse to watch the sunset. It's like stepping back in time. You will not be disappointed.

This condo has a great location within Pauamana (which is also in a great location on Maui in Lahaina) - we loved being able to walk out the front door to watch the sunset or take a swim in the pool. The property management company was so easy to work with and very communicative.

After many vacations at Puamana, I think I qualify as an expert (minimum stays - 25). Every Puamana vacation rental home offers similar amenities & benefits. 20-2 fits into that category. Lovely 1 brm home with 2 full bathrooms (1st +). 2nd + was the Lanai! Great set up with BBQ, tables chairs & lounges to relax and anytime. Shade is a big plus in Hawaii for me. This Lanai is fully shaded by Palms.
The bonus of 20-2 for me is how close it is the the big pool.

This place is just the same as described. It was clean and very well stocked. Rick was very responsive the couple of times I contacted them. I love the Paumana properties, and feel safe there.

Puamana is a favorite location for our vacations. We have stayed in several condos in Puamana. 20-2 is one we reserved again for 2019 immediately after after checking out after our last visit. That should speak for itself. Really enjoyed our stay in 20-2.

Beautiful location, convenient, fully equipped updated condo with ocean view from kitchen & front door. Bed very comfortable. No complaints at all.

Loved the location, the place was very clean. Our only complaints were that you couldn’t even wash the towels in the machines. They are far too old and small. Asking a lot of people to have to take them to the laundry every few days. Also the mattress was very saggy and our backs were sore the entire time.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME. JUST RELAXED. DID NOT EVEN RENT A CAR JUST WALKED TO TOWN OR USED CAR SHARE & TAXI. THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY THE VIEW AND THE WAVES....

We always consider building 20 at the Puamana our home away from home. Over the years we now have stayed in all 4 units. Some units are better than others but that is splitting hairs. What I really would like to say is how grateful we are to Rick, Dave, Cathy and the cleaning staff. This trip we stayed in 3 of the 4 units and couldn't have been more pleased with the service supplied. Rick was always available and ready to help. We will be back soon.

We are already planning our return to Puamana!

We have stayed in several Puamana homes over the last ten years or so and really enjoy the whole Puamana experience. It is a very special place. This home, 20-2, was very comfortable and well outfitted. We had enjoyable dinners on the patio with the comfy furniture out there as well. The kitchen has many extras including lots of staples that came in handy left from previous renters. The one drawback is that the wifi connection is outdated and insecure, so I wouldn't recommend doing anything requiring bank numbers or charge cards online while connected. Everything was reasonably clean with the exception of very soiled and worn throw rugs in the kitchen and entry. Not really a big deal. We had a lovely stay and are already missing those sunsets on the lawn by the clubhouse.

It was amazing. We had envious friends visiting that will come back to you as clients. Great website, easy communication and the grounds are stellar. The staff is amazing and I did not want to leave.

A very quiet spot, close to the ocean, beach pool, clubhouse and lanai.
We enjoyed hearing the sound of the ocean from this unit and it was very well equipped with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay.
The lanai at the back of the unit was quiet and perfect for eating and reading. The sun doesn't get to the lanai making it a cooler place to sit and relax.

This home is perfect for a Maui vacation. The location is the best on the island for both relaxing on the private grounds and as a base for convenient exploration of different parts of Maui. Short walk to the fun town of Lahaina. The owners thoughtfully provided use of beach necessities such as sand chairs, umbrella, insulated cooler, boogie boards, and water shoes. Inside, 20-2 has all the comforts of home: the kitchen is well-appointed and stocked, washer/dryer worked well, the bed is big and comfortable, the lanai peaceful with the sound of waves breaking a short distance away. The club house is a beautiful and historical structure, and its lanai and adjoining "ocean pool" are fun places to hang-out. We found it difficult to depart on our last day!

This unit was in the perfect location - close to the ocean pool and you could see the water from the doorway. It was well-equipped from kitchen tools and small appliances to beach towels. It was comfortable, up-dated, very clean and reasonable priced. I would definitely stay in this unit again.

We loved our stay for 1 week with our one-year-old baby. The unit is in great proximity to the water, clubhouse & pool, and we met lots of nice people when we were out and about. The unit was well-furnished and comfortable.

We were able to rent baby gear and put her to bed in the bedroom with the air conditioning on and the darkening curtain pulled, and then we'd hang out on the lanai and chat.

We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great experience.

This condo is in a perfect location! Beautifully remodeled bathrooms, comfortable king size bed. Has all the amenities needed for a great vacation. Steps away from the pool, club house and the ocean.

We loved the location of this townhouse in Puamana, it is just steps from the ocean and the clubhouse. The unit was very nice and looked just like the photo's. The property was clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The management company provided great service, they even had an app for your phone with all the details of the rental unit including gate codes. We stayed for the month of February 2016 and have already booked it for next year.

We have stayed at Puamana twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed the resort. This condo unit is clean, well-equipped and in a fabulous location. The clubhouse has a small library, a fitness centre and a central courtyard facing the ocean where we watched the beautiful sunset every night. Lahaina is very close and offers a plethora of small shops and restaurants. Can't wait to return next year.

Located just a few feet away from the Puamana ocean pool and the historic clubhouse. Lots of open space and loung chairs just feet from the spectacular ocean views! Our 2 week stay was perfect for comfort and relaxation. The location of the unit could not be better for evening drinks watching the sunsets and hours during the day enjoying the ocean side pool.

We've stayed at Puamana in March for the last 3 years and plan to keep going back. What we enjoy about it is the quietness of the neighbourhood, proximity to the beach, proximity to the historical town of Lahaina and how we feel that this is our home away from home during our stay and not just a tourist. We had one occasion to contact the property manager regarding a minor problem and the response and the service were very quick. We rent cruiser bikes every year and love cycling in and around Lahaina. There's a great yoga studio a 10 minute cycle away. We enjoy browsing in the many art galleries in Lahaina. There are some very good walks and hikes close by. Every year we go to Lahaina Seafood Co. for dinner and have always enjoyed it immensely. The Lahaina Grill is also very good.i would recommend this property to a friend or relative.

From start to finish, we loved every moment of our first trip to Maui and could not have found a better spot than Puamana! This gated community is truly a hidden gem -- secluded and private. Best of all, it is such low density that you almost feel like you're there alone.

This unit was spacious with two bathrooms and two air conditioners and perfect for one couple. Updated kitchen, comfortable furniture and spotless throughout. Lanai suffered from lack of breeze but we spent our time just steps away on ocean or Maui's only pool right over the ocean.

We quickly go to know the regulars, many who had been coming for years. Felt like home and we will be back.

Management was excellent and responded to emails almost instantly.

We highly recommend apvr and this particular unit. We plan to return but will stay longer than a week next visit.

My father in-law had an amazing time and loved the place. Thank you for all your help and we look forward to staying with you again.

The setting was gorgeous and the managers very helpful, but this unit needs renovating. In particular, I had asked about a bathtub since I have an arthritic back and a daily soak in a tub helps tremendously. The tub was dark and old, behind 2 ancient sliding glass doors. Not conducive to spending any time there at all. I used the shower instead, but my back noticed the difference.

Location was fantastic, grounds excellent, couch was worn out, bathrooms small and outdated, ants a small problem, breaker blew when microwave and lights were on, window a/c's need to be replaced, patio was great. quiet and comfortable, very relaxing and enjoyable despite having to clean after arrival and deal with minor inconveniences; quick response from maintenance helped. Being so close to the Ocean (54 steps) helped because you had no view of Ocean except standing at kitchen window. It wasn't first class, but it was very acceptable with some exceptions.

The unit was a little dated, very clean, good location, the grounds/community was a little dated.

We were a group of (10) total with (2) of us staying in this wonderful 1bd. The accommodations clean, well-stocked and in a great location to the pool and ocean. The grounds in Puamana, where the condo is located, are also lovely adding to the serene,
comforting feel. It felt like home the instant we were there. It was also such a short walk to Lahaina (10 min walk, no kidding!) and a 15 min drive to Kaanapali making for great last minute excursions when we left our oasis. This is the first time Ive
ever done a direct rental, used this site AND been to Maui and I couldnt be happier. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this family vacation a perfect one!

Both bathrooms in this unit were not the cleanist. Could have used updating and a good scrub. Other than this, the unit was great.

20-2 is the perfect size home away from home for a couple. The unit is very well equipped with everything you need for a beach vacation. Nicely decorated in Hawaii style. Very close to pool and a easy walking distance to the beach. I love Puamana!

Wonderful!

The house was very clean, furnature was clean and comfortable. There were more than enough kitchenware for our stay, although we BBQ'd. The sounds of birds in the morning, along with hearing the ocean in the background was the extra bonus. Also, it was very quiet while we stayed, the gated community helped for sure. Having the ocean steps away was great, we took lounge chairs down by the water to read books, listen the wind blow thew the palm trees, and the waves crashing, it was very relaxing. Also the sunsets were beautiful. Got some great pictures of the warmth of the sunset with palm trees and the ocean, what a great print that will make to remind us of our perfect stay in Maui. Working through APVR was also smooth and we were treated very well. Mahalo!

This was a perfect home for a short vacation, but would also work great for a couple staying weeks or months.

Unit was comfortable but would have been better if the large bathroom were upgraded and the towels in that room renewed. While the unit was well located close to the clubhouse and adult pool, there was little sun in the lanai. The vegetation surrounding the lanai kept it private. However, the garbage disposal was very close to the lanai so there was constant noise when neighbours put out their trash especially when they throw in bottles. There was also renovation work almost adjacent to the lanai. The area semed also a gathering place for garden workers to congregate and talk during breaks. We didn't use the lanai much, although the chairs were comfortable and good quality, except for a quick dinner. WiFi works amazingly well. Also, Rick, the caretaker was extremely pleasant, helpful and responsive as was Catherine, the rental agent. We will consider renting a quieter oceanside unit next year. The complex on the whole, however, is ideal. We have owned at Puamana for 15 years and visited continously for some 30 years.

The property is very nice the only 2 things I would recommend is a little more cleaning (e.g. what I call Spring Cleaning, cupboards inside and out - bathroom walls, etc.) I think that most people would apreciate a propane or natural gas barbecue nowadays. Also no key for the fitness room???

The only reason I gave the location 4 stars instead of 5 is because it wasn't on the beach. Otherwise it was a delightful place to stay. It was only a short few steps to walk onto the lawn and sit by the shore or go to the swimming pool, which is situated
right next to the ocean.

We had a delightful time at Puamana. Our daughter and son-in-law and family were in 20-3. which is also a great condo. Watched the sun go down each evening. great fun

The only negative, was an aging locking system at the gate to the community. Often difficult to get to work.

We found some ants and large bugs. The lg bug was dead. Put who ever cleans needs to move and clean behind things. Kitchen drawers should be wiped out. The ceiling fans where so dusty we couldn't turn them on without dirt falling off. Over all it is a great location. And I would stay again.

We really appreciated how straightforward the booking process was and how we got what was described in the ad. The unit was spotless and the property is a comfortable mix of long term stays, owners, and vacationers.

We loved waking up to the sound of ocean waves breaking on the shore. The beauty of the ocean and coconut palm trees as seen from our kitchen enhanced the experience. We enjoyed the ocean front pool and our private lanai. Being in a gated community, it was very peaceful and quiet. Walking or taking a short drive into historic Lahaina was a real treat. We had a great time!
