46-3 Oceanfront

This was a lovely stay for us. Check-in/out was seamless, the staff was courteous and the salt water pool a daily treat. We lived being able to walk to the beach and would definitely recommend a stay here

We enjoyed this great little condo. The view from the lanai is breathtaking. Some deferred maintenance, and lack of central AC was an annoyance and I would gladly stay at this property again, but I would look for a different unit.

Location was amazing. Great sunsets every night, 15-minute walk into Lahaina, good access to the amenities in the complex. The unit itself was nothing special; it felt pretty dated (showers in particular), AC didn't really cool the place. The management team was helpful and responded quickly to texts.

Rented the waterfront one bedroom 2 bath condo for 10 days mid May 2023. Unit is dated and in need of upgrades. For the price we paid per night we expected more and came away with just average experience. The AC in the living room was inadequate. Ran on high the whole time and probably never got below 80 degrees in the living room. The master bedroom had a window unit that also had to be run on high to cool the room down to the low 70s for sleeping. The ocean view was great and we enjoyed the sunsets every night.

Really enjoyed staying at Puamana and we will return to this unit. Overall view, amenities, furnishing, pools, etc. were great. Unit could use some updating in the bathrooms - that would take our rating from 4 to 5.

Was a great location within Puamana. The unit does need a little updating...shower door was broken, umbrella broken and only 1 working beach chair. Beach towels are worn.

This was our fifth stay at Puamana through APVR and it was wonderful! Location, oceanfront views, property, property management, all amazing!! The only thing I would recommend, is that we cook a lot and could have used a few more dishes, a good set of knives, and another frying pan or two.

We had the most amazing vacation ever! Every morning we were able to sit on our lanai and enjoy coffee and take in the scenic view, along with evenings we were able to watch the sunset. We spent afternoons at the pool or the beach close by. Lahaina is an amazing little town that we loved to visit eat and shop. So many things to do in the area! Our experience was completely different than any vacation we’ve been on! Accommodations were perfect and we actually came home from vacation completely relaxed! Can’t wait to go again

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and let me just start by saying that the view here is unmatched. Sitting on the porch watching the sunset, it doesn't get any better. The place was clean and well kept although the bathrooms are a little outdated, and for a tall guy like myself, a little on the smaller side but by no means a deal breaker. It's a short walk over to Lahaina where you can check out shops and restaurants and the area where the unit is located is super quiet. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet spot on Maui with ocean views.

We had a great stay in our unit. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and is in a great location. The bed is very comfortable, kitchen is mostly fully equipped, and the open space worked well for our purposes. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Maui.

Dave and APVR saved our trip. We had originally booked another condo (NOT affiliated with APVR) in the same complex, but unfortunately it was not as described when we arrived, which left us searching for another place to stay. We found this perfect oceanfront condo, reached out to Dave and he made it happen the same day! He had it cleaned and ready for us within just a few hours. The condo was exactly as described. Very clean! The cooling units are window units, but work great and the bed is very comfortable! You cannot beat the oceanfront views from the lanai. We saw so many turtles! It was was private and perfect for our family. Also, the complex in Puamana is beautiful and very well maintained. Thank you so much Dave and APVR for rescuing us!

We reserved this oceanfront condo for our anniversary. The condo was just as described, clean, well appointed and in the absolute most perfect location!!

Literally steps from the ocean with turtles grazing the rocks every day and we even saw two small (2-3 ft) black tip reef sharks circling in the same area on one day. Small reef sharks aren't a threat to humans though, and we walked out at low tide several times to snorkel in the shallow water (you NEED water shoes, the rock are challenging, but it's doable).

We also enjoyed the dozens of surfers around Puamana; our week included a Southern Ocean Swell that we learned is rather unique and brought the surfers in close all along Puamana. What a great opportunity to see the surfers - experienced and new surfers, practice their skills!

Aside from the amazing views and sunsets from our nearly private ocean-front condo, it was a perfect location and size for us and we would highly recommend this location, you won't be disappointed.

The only (very minor) hitch was the TV in the bedroom was constantly shutting down. We did report it, and it was looked at, but it continued to do the same thing throughout our stay. This did not affect our stay at all as we were outside 90% of the time.

We would absolutely recommend this condo, it was a super quiet gated community, beautifully decorated and the location cannot be beat anywhere on this island in our opinion!!!

Reserve it now so you don't regret it!!! :-)

Puamana is a very secluded gated community and we really enjoyed our stay at this rental. It was incredible private and the view off of the lanai was unbeatable. Would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here and enjoy this gem

It was a beautiful setting and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets right from our lanai. The location was great, close to pool and tennis courts. The one negative thing was we thought there was air conditioning throughout the condo and it was only in the bedroom. It was hot!
Dave and Cathy were wonderful to work with and always got right back to me with all the questions I had. We needed a later checkout and he was very helpful to make that happen.

We have never experienced a truly ocean front rental in Hawaii. Makes you feel as if this is your private ocean front. Truly exceptional.

This unit is perfectly located. Unobstructed views from the perfect lanai. We made it a point to have early dinners so we could enjoy the sunset from the lanai every night. This is not a super modern unit, but that wasn’t a concern for us. The proximity to the water and Lahaina are excellent and it had (almost) everything we needed. The only thing we missed having were some folding chairs for the beach. The bed was comfortable and we loved the sound of the waves. Walking to town was only a mile away.

My wife and I spent an week relaxing with sunsets over Lanai across the water from our condo We walked the short distance to Lahina for dinners and people watching.The unit we were in was reminiscent of old Hawaii with bamboo furniture and tasteful artwork.The people we rented from were helpful as was the local caretaker..A great experience.

We appreciated the fact the place looked like it undergone bit of a face lift, with new paint, all new cutlery, dishes and pots and pans. Nice treat. All else was fine but when we went online there to look at 46-3 agIn for next year, same time frame, it was already booked. Very disappointing, especially a year away. That’s how we booked it last year, just prior to leaving. So we were forced to make other arrangements for next year. I guess we expected some prefferential treatment since we have been staying there the past few years.
There was some damage that was my fault but I did send Rick a note on the Claim Form and explained it to him and said to let me know the cost of the minor repair and I would gladly pay for the damage. I assume by now you have been told of this.
Anyway, thank you again. We love being in Puamana and as long as we continue to have good healt(, we will keep coming to Puamana.

We love this community and this unit was well located. We were disappointed that there were some important things missing. We would have liked to have had a toaster in the kitchen. What we were really unhappy about was that there was not a clothes washer and dryer.

Everything is so good at Puamana. Friendly atmosphere and lots to do on the property with the Gym, pools, nice Clubhouse etc.q

The location of this unit couldn't be better - right on the water, in a very quiet and private part of Puamana. Puamana itself is wonderful - peaceful, away from the hordes of tourists, lovely grounds, nice pool and clubhouse.
The unit is clean, comfortable and adequately furnished, though the bedding and towels and so on are a bit tired. Dave, the manager, was very helpful in replacing chipped dishes. We would stay here again.

Location was perfect. Contacts with management wonderful. Property however is tired and old and in definite need of upgrading. It was light and well painted due to a range fire a couple of years ago. The carpet was dirty and called management so I would not have to pay for stains. Microwave died and was promptly replaced. Towels were poor quality. Outdoor table looks good in the picture but looking through the glass, it is dirty and rusty, not cleanable. Plants outside on patio are but infested and poorly cared for. Drawers in kitchen were not clean, crumbs and whatever in the back corners. Washed utensils before using them. Bedroom closet full of a fan, vacuum and laundry basket. No room for shoes and useable floor space. Pillows need upgrading. Did not receive value for price.

We loved our time at 46-3...listening to the ocean, looking out to the view, walking the gorgeous grounds of Puamana. We will never tire of it.

From the start of my communication with APVR I was impressed! They were efficient and thorough to my questions and booking confirmation. The phone app provides you the answers to everything at your fingertips. They accommodated our 11:00pm arrival and on our last day accommodated a very late checkout option. I've never experienced such an effortless check in and checkout before! Our private oceanfront unit gave us the best view you can ask for. The entire complex is well maintained and clean. . To get a little exercise, I'd suggest the short walk to Front street for breakfast, coffee, ice cream. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a secure, comfortable, great location, and especially a great view! If you want a quite, relaxing, & private vacation, this beats the large hotels with too many people hands down!
